My name is Adrian “Dree” Caloobanan, A Filipino immigrant who moved to Southeast Texas in pursuit of greater opportunities. My journey with photography began shortly after arriving in the United States, driven by a desire to document everything new around me, people, landscapes, events, culture and fleeting moments experienced through the eyes of an immigrant.
I pursued my formal education in photography at Lamar University, where I studied under Prince Varughese Thomas and Keith Carter. Their mentorship played a pivotal role in shaping my artistic vision, refining my technique, and deepening my understanding of photography as both a technical and expressive medium.
With over 10 years of experience in fashion, lifestyle and editorial photography, I have contributed to the Beaumont Enterprise through a featured column titled Street Peeps, where I captured individuals encountered in everyday life and highlighted their distinctive personal style. My work has been published online in Dark Beauty Magazine and Rocketlight Magazine, providing opportunities to share my visual perspective with a wider audience and engage with the creative community. I have also worked with a local Las Vegas streetwear, Denimpire and luxury menswear brand, One Monarchy. Producing imagery for billboard campaigns displayed along the Las Vegas Strip. I continue to expand my practice as a wedding photographer for Chapel of the Flowers.
I describe my work as elegant and form driven, with a focus on movement, drama, and clarity. I approach photography in a clean, straightforward way, allowing mood and tension to emerge naturally within the frame.
